Lazy Susan in Purple Heart Wood

First in the range of Purple Heart Wood Lacemaking Tools, this Lazy Susan,  is in the same design as the Lacemaking Bobbins in the same wood.  Of all the lacemaking tools, this is probably one of the most useful. Approx 4 inches in length, it is highly maneuverable to help you do sewings and finishings neatly.

Purple Heart Wood or Amaranth is a strong durable wood which is extremely resilient.  It has a uniform, fine to medium texture for turning and the grain is usually straight.  When it is first cut and turned the wood is a vibrant purple color which darkens over time to a rich warm brown with purple lights.
